Krista is the principal director of Salamandra Management, an entrepreneurial privately-owned family office focused on cross-border opportunistic investments in real estate, trading, and venture funds. The office currently has a particular focus on real estate and investment visa related programs, which include Spain, Portugal and Greece. Krista represents and advocates for the interests of her clients, overseeing and curating a portfolio of products services to best address investor needs.

Krista started her career with KPMG New York Audit Services practice, primarily working with financial services and real estate clients, such as Tishman Speyer Properties. She transferred to the KPMG Economic and Valuation Services group, and as a valuation associate constructed models and reports related to mergers and acquisitions, consolidations, tax and debt valuations, and private equity reviews.

She relocated to Asia in 2012, and co-founded a handful of start-up ventures in Manila. While based in Hong Kong, she was an affiliate partner of a boutique investment firm specializing in seed round investments and transaction structuring.

Widely traveled and having lived in many cultures and cities, the financial crisis in the Eurozone presented a timely investment opportunity. Krista relocated to Barcelona in 2015 and pursued a full-time MBA at IESE Business School. Friends and acquaintances sought her counsel regarding the processes and intricacies to invest in Spain and apply for the investor visa. Entrepreneurial by nature, Krista endeavors to seek potential investments as well as tailor solutions to meet specific client needs. She has established a network of other professionals, each experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields.

Krista is a partner at Summit Venture Partners, an investment firm engaged in the purchase, refurbishment, and sale of European properties, particularly related to investment-residence schemes primarily in Spain and Greece.

Interests

Krista is passionate about traveling, having visited over 55 countries and is eager to augment her experience. She believes the best way to discover and digest new places is to walk around, meet new people, and stumble into (mis)adventures. She loves to read, and is constantly ready to offer an opinion on current events as well as trendy, low-brow tv shows. Eager to try new workouts, she is equally eager to try new baking recipes and snacks.
