After finishing her A levels in Germany, Monica through necessity had to move straight into the exciting working world and the University of Life.

During the first five years until 1974 Monica worked in a leading travel agency in her hometown Hannover where she immediately worked her way up the ladder and also enjoyed the many travel opportunities. Thereafter followed a stellar career in the banking world, first at the WKV Waren-Kredit-Bank in Hannover and then in their Private Clients division. Then after 12 years she moved to Frankfurt and joined a major recruitment company, SCS Consulting before she was head-hunted by another top firm in Bad Homburg-Gruber, Titze & Partner GmbH where she stayed until 1991.

Her many years in travel, banking and recruitment exposed Monica to many HNWI’s and a common thread was always the discussions around property and property investments. This then sparked a long and hugely successful career in Real Estate with Engel & Voelkers in Germany. Her responsibilities spanned the entire spectrum of real estate which culminated in her buying her own E & V franchise with a partner in 2003 on the island of Sylt. For 13 years Monica sold many properties, often among the most expensive in Europe to a variety of leisure and investment buyers. Sylt enjoys some of the most expensive property values in Europe and is one of the most sought-after island destinations in the world.

Today Monica consults widely, both in Germany and South Africa and has a number of real estate investments in both countries. She “swallows” between these two destinations.

Monica travels extensively and has visited most corners of the world. In her spare time she enjoys sailing and golf.
