Patrick Hemmingson

Patrick is a highly experienced all-around real estate professional and lives in Hamburg with his wife and three children. He started his career in Hamburg at Arthur Andersen where his interest in real estate took off. After cutting his teeth there over five exciting years he joined a huge family office, the almost 260-year-old Portfolio & Investment Management Company Franz Haniel, before moving on to be appointed as CEO at Behne Management Company, the asset manager of various real estate investment funds investing in Germany and additionally at the EGP Management Company, a privately owned real estate developer with a significant commercial real estate interest in Munich.
In 1998 his then already successful career in real estate took another leap forward when he was appointed Member of the Board by Adler Real Estate AG, a german Stock quoted real estate development company. In 2005 he moved to MPC Muenchmeyer Petersen Real Estate Consulting to be in charge for the Europewide acquisition of high-volume commercial real estate projects for closed-end real estate funds. From 2010 he first headed up the acquisition arm of Woelbern Invest KG and subsequently as he was appointed CEO of their fund management division for Germany and Europe. Since 2014 Patrick works independently and consults widely in the real estate industry and is a regular visitor to Southern Africa.
Interests
Patrick is a founder member of the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in Northern Zambia to protect the highly endangered Chimpanzee. Furthermore, he heads up a number of worthwhile foundations.
