Rainer enjoyed a highly successful career in the South African and international wine industry for 25 years. He was Marketing Director at Kersaf in the eighties and subsequently owned various wine outlets and import/export businesses. In tandem he launched the RK Consulting Group in the early nineties.

In 2005 he converted his lifelong passion in property into a career and consulted and worked with a number of high profile international Real Estate companies-including Engel & Voelkers, Sotheby’s and RE/MAX. He concluded many deals across the world ranging from apartments in Barcelona to wine estates in South Africa.

In 2019 he launched Proprietas – Global Real Estate Investments. An ever-increasing demand from his International and South – African client base is seeking property diversification to spread risk and yield. In this regard Rainer has teamed up with leading law firms, tax consultants, financial gurus and real estate professionals in Europe.

With globalisation an ongoing trend many clients are seeking additional residency and citizenship options via property investments-commonly referred to as a Golden Visa.

Interests

Rainer has had a lifelong love affair with water-whether windsurfing or swimming in the cold Atlantic on his doorstep in Cape Town or taking part in competitive events-he has been selected for the past five Masters Swimming World Championships. He is also passionate about the mountains-they are the cathedral where he practices his religion. He has scaled some of the highest mountains in Africa and the Himalayas. Through his past Rotary International membership, he has been tirelessly involved in countless upliftment projects for the less fortunate.
